Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Alternatively, Matthew 18:6 records Christ our Lord giving what we might understatedly call a stern warning to those who might cause little children who believe in him to sin.
Along these Biblical lines, many American parents generally, and Colorado parents in particular, are concerned – and justifiably so – about the education their children receive, particularly where what their sons and daughters learn and are exposed to in their formative years will set them up for later success, or hardship, in life.
Are children in Colorado public schools receiving a quality education, or are they being robbed of their innocence? And if the answer to the first question turns out to be ‘No,’ and the answer to the latter ‘Yes,’ what is the outlook for either the expansion or contraction of school choice in our state?
To the end of exploring these and related questions, on the evening of Saturday, August 24th, starting at 6pm, Ecclesia Forum is pleased to welcome Pam Benigno, Director of the Independence Institute’s influential Education Policy Center since 1997.
So mark your calendars! Invite your friends and bring your family, as we explore both principled and practical considerations for how to honor God and love our neighbor better, in Northern Colorado and beyond.
